About

Stop Modern Day Slavery is an international, youth-led organization that takes a multi-step approach to ending human trafficking. Founded in 2019, Stop Modern Day Slavery began by publishing educational articles and social media campaigns. Since then, we have expanded our advocacy to include providing services to survivors of human trafficking, amplifying survivors’ voices, hosting events with world leaders in the anti-trafficking community, and partnering with brands that use ethical labor practices.

With a growing team of motivated college and graduate students, Stop Modern Day Slavery approaches human trafficking prevention from the perspective of those most affected: youth. Our diverse team of students meticulously crafts our expanding repository of informative pieces on human trafficking, all of which are backed by extensive research. Our goal is for Stop Modern Day Slavery to be a virtual library of articles that both educate and inspire.

Most importantly, we show people from around the world that they have the power to stop modern day slavery. As consumers, we can choose to fund companies with ethical labor practices over those with murky supply chains. We can choose to support companies that provide fair wages to their employees over those that mistreat their workers. If we stop to think of the people behind our clothes’ label, we can have a massive impact on their lives.
